The fallout from NASCAR’s suspension of seven Joe Gibbs Racing crew members continues.
Those bans — indefinite suspensions for two of Gibbs’ Nationwide crew chiefs, car chiefs, engine tuners and another crew member — were part of a package of sanctions that also included fines and point losses. All came in the wake of NASCAR identifying that two spacers had been placed below the gas pedal during a recent dyno test, which would mask the true power of Gibbs, and Toyota’s, engines.
