Dale Earnhardt Jr is scheduled to be today’s guest on NASCAR’s weekly media teleconference. There will be questions about his season, certainly—the two top-10s, the 15th-place standing—but there will likely more questions on his contract situation.
Contract negotiations are usually the most mundane thing you’ll ever read in the sports section. But it’s a critical part of the reportage; even negotiations with generally anonymous Redskins at least merit a line or two.
